What started with after-hours game development, experimentation and a desire to create an additional income became a space for solving increasingly ambitious technical problems.
The idea becomes the work
Eugene moved into Freedom Software full-time, the head office moved to Pretoria and the business expanded into website development, design and practical IT services.

I started Freedom Software because I have always been drawn to the point where an ambitious idea meets a difficult technical problem.
What began with game development and experimentation grew into the work I do today: helping businesses replace frustration and disconnected systems with technology that is practical, dependable and genuinely useful.
As a founder-led company, the person who listens to your challenge stays close to the design, development and support of the solution. That direct accountability matters to me. So does creating a relationship where you can explore an unusual idea, ask honest questions and receive an honest answer—even when the best solution is simpler than expected.
